SOLE
Rocket GTX is an innovative backpacking boot suitable for use with a semi-automatic crampon. Its stand-out features are lightness and breathability built on a sturdy polyurethane sole unit: your guarantee of excellent durability over time and perfect cushioning. The Vibram? Curcuma outsole delivers perfect grip underfoot whilst keeping weight down. The result is one of the lightest soles in its category.
The TPU insert on the heel means crampons can be used for winter walks in icy, snowy conditions.
UPPER AND LINING
The TPU upper is engineered using over-moulding technology, and built to deliver outstanding protection against impacts and abrasion. The combination of the over-moulded TPU and the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort membrane ensures Rocket GTX provides excellent protection from the elements and is ideal for use in any season.
FIT
As you would expect, the boot boasts Kayland’s legendary snug and cradling fit, designed to deliver all-day comfort whilst ensuring the boot remains precise and well structured.

In 1971 Giovanni Bittante founded a company specialised in the production of technical footwear and boots for high-altitude mountaineering and the outdoors: Kayland®. His technical skills immediately enabled him to create high quality products and, together with his far-sighted vision and ability to anticipate market trends, led him to found the Kayland® Professional Team, a group of technical experts in the mountains. Thanks to their experience and know-how, it was possible to bring a new avant-garde approach to the way footwear is designed and produced, which still characterises the brand's products today.
