The entire outsole features a characteristic ?S? contouring design which replicates the natural roll of the foot, improving comfort during long days in the hills. The outsole contains Smart PU which delivers outstanding cushioning and maximum support and protection underfoot on rough terrain. The tread pattern includes wide channels to prevent clogging and allow for easy shedding of both water and mud.

In 1971 Giovanni Bittante founded a company specialised in the production of technical footwear and boots for high-altitude mountaineering and the outdoors: Kayland®. His technical skills immediately enabled him to create high quality products and, together with his far-sighted vision and ability to anticipate market trends, led him to found the Kayland® Professional Team, a group of technical experts in the mountains. Thanks to their experience and know-how, it was possible to bring a new avant-garde approach to the way footwear is designed and produced, which still characterises the brand's products today.
